About Me

At the age of 12 years old is when I remember first showing any interest in literature. The school library was where I picked up Shel Silverstein’s book, Where the Sidewalk Ends. I read the entire book in about 2 days. I was completely fascinated by the way words could rhyme, make you laugh, and convey meaning all at the same time. After that, I checked out the rest of his collection and my love for reading and writing poetry was birthed. This, then, led to reading chapter books and eventually I started to create my own works over the years.

I posted my very first blog in 2019 and released an 8-day devotional the following year. My husband and I also created a Beginner’s Guide to Debt Freedom in 2020. In the years after that, though, momentum slowed down for me, with several big life changes happening. So, this “blog revival” is my step back in the right direction –or should I say “write” direction! It is reigniting my passion for writing again and gives me a platform to use my God-given gifts to help someone else.

I am currently a stay-at-home mom.  Before that, I taught English Language Arts for grades 2nd through 5th over the course of 8 years. My husband Michael and I currently reside outside of Nashville with our beautiful baby girl.

P.S. All of my past blog posts have been reuploaded for you to enjoy with more posts to come!
